It's really not that bad. If your idle is always high, lower it with the adjustment screw (look in IAA FAQ write up for location). Otherwise clean you TPS, CAS and perhaps have your IAA looked at. As for the turbos, they don't go out without abuse, and that my friend, isn't the car's fault. It might not be your's either, but as long as it is strong, buy medium sized turbos if you are gonna replace. Also run some reline fuel system cleaner to clean all the deposits from your car sitting from you suspension. Also clean the T-bodies, reset the ECU and clean whatever shit you can!I have a 93TT with 98000 miles. Not a real problem to date. I bought the car with 76000 miles. It is basically bulletproof. So your car should be the same. The thing is, mine is really well taken care of. As for older BMWs, they are more expensive to maintain. Especially older Ms. They aren't as fast, way overstrung and have a lot of issues as well. The Z is much more sports car. Good luck,
